Faq Section

Are there any deposits or extra charges?

There are no hidden costs, however a $50 holding fee is charged to reserve your unit and subtracted from your first month’s upfront rental charge. We do not charge any administration fees, cleaning fees or security bonds. The only extra fees are late payment fees of $10.

Can I cancel my contract at any time?

Yes, although we do require at least 14 days notice prior to cancellation. Notice is, of course, subject to your situation. Please note that we do not give part month refunds.

Do you keep a spare key to my unit?

No, we do not keep spare keys to our storage units for security reasons. If you have lost your keys, please contact us for assistance.

Does Xtreme storage offer any extras?

Yes, we stock and sell padlocks for the storage units and coupling locks for outdoor storage spaces. Please note however, that although our storage clients have the option of either purchasing these items from us directly or supplying their own, padlocks and coupling locks are mandatory at Xtreme storage due to the extra security they provide for your belongings.

Do you offer secure storage?

Yes, in fact, security is a top priority at Xtreme storage, which is why our entire site is enclosed with security fencing and fully floodlit. Entrance to the site is via an electronic security gate. The entire site including all units are monitored by a state-of-the-art 24 hour CCTV and video surveillance system. Our camera surveillance provides 360º views of your units and all our storage units are secured by individually alarmed doors.

Are units easily accessible?

Yes, all our storage units offer drive up and truck access and our 3.6 m tall roller doors make it easy to load and unload your items without any hassle.

What size units do you offer?

Xtreme storage has just finished with the completion of our facility. This means you’re able to snap up a all our units: 3.6×9.2, 3.6×8, 3×6 and 2×6.

Do you offer insurance?

Although we do not offer insurance, we firmly believe that “if it’s worth storing, it’s worth insuring” and strongly advise our clients to ensure all their stored items are properly insured. Please contact your insurance broker for professional advice on your insurance requirements and be sure to read the PDS before agreeing to the policy.

Are there any discounts for long term storage?

Yes, Xtreme storage does offer long term storage discounts to our loyal clients. If you pay for three months in advance, you will receive a 5% discount. Pay for six months in advance and receive a 10% discount. Alternatively, when you pay for 11 months upfront, you’ll get your 12th month free. This is only available for our 3.6×9.2 units only. 

How do I pay?

We recommend setting up a monthly direct debit. Alternatively, you can pay over the phone, via the link on our website, or we can arrange to send you regular invoices.

When is payment due?

Payment is due each calendar month on the anniversary of the day you moved into the unit. For example, if your rental started on the 19th of the month, then rent is due on the 19th of every following month for the duration of your rental term.
